 How many poems have you read that have inspired you to look at something in a way that you have never considered before? What poems speak to your spirit and expand your consciousness? When was the last time you had a discussion about a poem? Shared it on a social network? Or was touched by the creative way that a poem communicated a point, feeling or a reality? Regardless of your answer, Poetry 2Life will offer you an opportunity to experience life through the eyes of different people. The voice of a teenager, young adult attempting to understand the world around them, a parent, a spectator, are just a few of the voices that resonate throughout these poems. In fact, it will open your eyes, if you are willing to first, open your mind.

  The journeys that lead to the publication of Poetry 2Life began many years ago. It is a compilation of poems, written while living through and observing different phases of life.  As you live, struggle and learn, it is the hope that you do not believe that you are alone. Each poem was inspired by an emotion that touches the soul.

   In today's society, people of all ages, face so many obstacles. Most of those are simply a part of living life. The poems in Poetry 2Life, communicate issues and injustices that affect people. It will provoke deep thought.  The poems will conceive a desire to want to make a difference. It will inspire hope and action in the audience, regardless of age or hue.

  One facet of Poetry 2Life that will be remembered is that poetry encompasses life. It is born repeatedly and always present. It is alive in all settings, breathes through all emotions and sometimes resuscitates that which may otherwise, seize to exist.  Once you have read each poem, perhaps more than once, you will be enlightened and encouraged.  Poetry 2Life will demonstrate the relationship between living and poetry.
